Oh man…. this took forever to do.

Yes, this is a tribute to the Sonic/Mega Man comic book crossover that’s been going on for a few months now, courtesy of Archie Comics. It’s a really neat comic for both new readers and fans of both series.

Onto the artwork… the hardest part was choosing a coloring style. I didn’t want to overshoot the effects and I most certainly didn’t want to spend precious time on shading or lighting either. I think I did okay on both departments. I believe I captured the characters’ looks and designs correctly, though that monsterosity The Egg Wily Machine X (right) was the one that gave me the most trouble in terms of design.

In the comic, it had two different designs so I decided to mash the two designs together while keeping it looking too distinctive. The laser from its mouth looks a little crappy though. :/

Super Sonic and Super Mega Man were easy to do and were almost no problem whatsoever. I think the only thing that gave me a hard time was giving a good aura effect around them both, though I spent more time on Super Sonic’s aura than Rockman’s.

Overall, this was a good project and I hope everyone can enjoy it. Thanks everyone! Laters!
